I have a very dear friend who cannot let silence alone. Fortunately, the things she says are interesting to me, and she doesn't mind when I interject. It's a very active, engaged conversational style, common on the east coast, not so common out here in the west. It's sometimes difficult for me to watch two people with this conversational style talk, because the conversation can look like fighting to me, right up until they both burst out laughing and nodding their heads at each other.
