my cedar is wearing my maple

The leaves are coming down now, with a vengeance, and the young cedar below my massive old maple is positively festooned with tehse bright golden leaves which have departed the maple branches for the ground but never quite got there. Looks like Christmas has come early, with lots of golden baubles on a "Christmas tree". It looks really gorgeous, actually.

On the work front, the synopsis for the Next Big One is done and will be on its way to the editors either later today or tomorrow - either way it'll be on their desk on Monday morning...
