I NEED TO GO TO NEW YORK!

I need to know what the building at 8 W 40th Street looks like (I will gratefully accept digital pictures from locals!!!) and if it looked the same way back at the turn of the (twentieth) century. I need to know if there's a nice coffee shop somewhere directly opposite the New York Central Library, on Fifth Avenue preferably, and how late such shop would be open on Christmas Eve. I need to know whether windows in the upper floors of the New Yorker hotel open or not. I need to know how room 3327 in the Hotel New Yorker is furnished.

Heck. I need to feel the pulse of the city again.

Sigh.
