Well, it's like this:
The problem is that I no longer believe in that 95 000 words. If the rest of this novel works out, on average, with chapter lengths like the ones I've been having so far, I'm looking at more like at least between 105 000 and 110 000 somewhere. Let's split the difference and make it 107 000. Which then makes the situation just a littlel different:
Either way. It's either pushing three quarters done, or it's just over three quarters done. And this last chapter wasn't bad, if I say so myself...

Date: 2006-06-27 05:07 pm (UTC)I have a writer of YA on my flist whose wordmeter ends at 45.000
I am somewhat envious.
Not that I could write that short.
(And now I am seriously trying to convince this story that it should fit into 100K, instead of expanding as usual)
