I think I'm going to print this out and hang it by the coffeemaker, to remind [livejournal.com profile] rdeck of potential consequences...

That's why one needs a booster dose around 4pm. (I'd prefer tea at that time, if it was feasible, but I'll settle for coffee.)

That's so true as to be scary. I need to post that inside the cabinet where the coffee lives. That should keep me from ever running out again.

Oo, that hits so close to home, it's scary, although I don't drink quite that much coffee.

Only five cups??? Gosh, I drink that much before lunch most days. I wonder if I have a coffee addiction....nah....at least, I'm down from my 4 espressos a day to mostly drip.

A few years ago a friend gave my husband and myself a pair of coffee mugs - they hold roughly two and half times the capacity of a common-or-garden ordinary coffee mug, and I tend to drink at LEAST four or five of THAT mug's worth of coffee a day. Starting with the cup my husband brings me in bed when I wake up (so that I'd be a normal human being, like, fast, rather than a bear with a sore head) and ending usually after 10 PM.

So I hear you [grin]

I don't know if drip qualifies as "down." If you were having single-shot espressos, there's more caffiene in a cup of drip (depending on quality and how strong you brew it). Of course, if you were drinking quads...

Not that I'm a coffee geek or anything. Now where'd I put that mug?

I use a cold brew system, making a coffee concentrate, then add as much hot water as I want (need). I have been known to have a quad before, but I usually don't as the price just keeps creeping up on those things. Grrr.. It's sad when a cuppa costs you almost $5 these days. Ergo, the drip. Much cheaper, and not as many calories either. Still, a venti, triple shot, toffee nut mocha with soy is sooooo delish....*sigh*

I know those type of mugs. When you talk into them, they echo!
