And so it begins...

I do believe this to be the first real "in the wild" review of "Spellspam".
This seems to be as good a time as any to announce that I WILL be doing a Virtual Blog Tour around the beginning of March, to celebrate the release of "Spellspam". I intend to have at least one contest going at that time, too, with the prize being a matched set of #1 and #2 hardcovers - but about that, later. I already have a few Tour venues set up, which I will be announcing closer to the time, but in the meantime - if YOU've got any questions you'd like to see me answer, why don't you suggest them in the comments and I'll make sure they get a response SOMEWHERE during the Virtual Tour?...

Date: 2008-01-23 06:14 pm (UTC)Can you think of five questions you might want to ask me about the book(s), or about writing them, or writing in general, and be willing to post my answers on your blog as a "guest blog" in the first week of march?...

Date: 2008-01-24 01:34 am (UTC)Would the second week of March be at all possible? (Birthday present!) But if not, no big deal, I'll just consider it an early birthday present. I was going to ask if you prefer the independent blog or the LJ, but it's probably easier if I just crosspost to both.

Date: 2008-01-30 08:12 am (UTC)1. You've had a widely varied life - more so, maybe, that most of your readers. Do you think that background means you can open more doors for them? Does it give you an advantage in opening up new possibilities, especially to your younger readers?
2. I think I remember you saying that you were always a storyteller. Did your very early publication experience give you added confidence in the journey to becoming an author?
3. On the surface, your newest books are very different from the Jin Shei series and Letters From the Fire. Would you say they have themes in common?
4. Relating to question 1, as you have experienced changes in your life (moving, publication, marriage) how have they changed the stories you have to tell?
5. What are some of the books or stories that have been the bedrock of your life, or that have inspired you?
