anghara...that will never leave old Europe or stop calling it home.
The Eurovision song contest is on right now. In Belgrade, because Serbia won last year.
This year's entry from Serbia is *eerie*. Sad. Beautiful.
It's a silly old contest, and even when I was a kid back in Yugoslavia we used to poke fun at a lot of it (in a "What were they THINKING?" kind of way). But right now... there's a part of my heart that's whispering, "Oh, GO. Sing, my nightingale. Sing for all those voices who are silent now."
It's a silly old contest.
It's a beautiful sad song.
I hope she wins.
