I keep on hearing about Edward Gorey's "The Unstrung Harp: Or Mr. Earbrass Writes a Novel" from different people. Of course, now that I've decided I want a copy, it seems to have gone out of circulation everywhere (there's this doomful "subject to availability" sign attached to it anywhere I look.

Something to put into my Treasure Hunt book.

P.S. It's STILL raining. About that ark....

If you send us some of your rain, we will be safe from bushfires and you won't need an ark. How does that sound?

It's quite possibly the best book ever written about the experience of writing a novel.

I have it and can loan it out to you, and return Deck's novel to him at the same time. Let me know.
