Oh wow! That's beautiful!

Doesn't the Skagit Valley also have a lavender festival a little later in the year?

But if I trip over it this year, maybe more photos can be taken [grin]

Hm, there must be two then because I seem to remember there was another (possibly smaller) thing going on somewhere quite close to where I am...

there may well be, but i believe you and i live in the same town, which is partly why i friended you. i am unaware of any other lavender fest, but i claim no expertise on such matters! :D i only know there is one in sequim because my sister attended it last year. i don't suppose we can have too many lavender fests.

We should meet up for coffee or something one of these days. We can't live more than half an hour's drive from each other.

Look here: http://www.lummi-island.com/home.htm

It says, a little way down the page, "Each summer there is a Lavender Festival in July."

I knew I'd seen some fliers around last year.

They always startle me when I first see them, the sweep of colour. They're GREAT things to photograph, they just sit there and lure you in. There were people with great galumphing Real Cameras (tm) and lenses half the length of your arm - people take this photo op VERY seriously...
